Replacing Classroom Lecture with Web-based Instruction : Implications for Courseware Design & Development

This paper highlights several courseware design and development implications of a Web-based instruction in Basic Microbiology, BMicOnline, which replaces traditional classroom lecture. The course provides an introductory level to Microbiology as a subject for Year One of the Diploma in Applied Science & Nutrition, the Diploma in Consumer Science & Tecnology and the Diploma in Biotechnology, which are full-time, on-campus courses.
